LUNØR - A Watch Inspired by the Nordic Night
When we started working on LUNØR, it didn’t begin with specs or features. It started with a feeling. If you’ve spent time in the North, you know it. Long nights. Quiet light. The moon becomes more than just something in the sky. It gives rhythm.
It gives direction. And then there’s the aurora. Not always there, but when it is, everything changes. That’s what we wanted to bring into this watch. Not copy it. Just translate the feeling.
A Different Moon Phase

Most moon phase watches are quite simple. The moon appears, disappears, and the rest stays dark. We didn’t like that idea. So with LUNØR, we went for a double moon phase. It represents both hemispheres, but more importantly, it helped us rethink the whole dial.

Instead of leaving the space between the moons empty, we added a luminous aurora. It glows softly in the dark, so the dial never goes completely black. Even during a new moon, there’s still light. It changes the watch more than you’d expect.

At 6 o’clock, there’s a smaller window. We call it "Måneblik", two Danish words for “moon" and "view” combined. It gives you a more focused look at the moon and adds a bit more depth to the dial. Everything feels more balanced this way. Less static, more alive.
Mørk Finishing

The case follows the same thinking. We didn’t want it fully polished. And not fully brushed either. That felt too flat. So we worked with both. Our Mørk finishing combines fine brushing with deep black-polished surfaces. Placed next to each other, they react differently to light. It’s subtle, but it gives the watch more presence. The case stays clean and flat, but never boring. It’s something you notice more over time.
A Movement You Can Trust

Inside, we use the Premium Miyota 9015. It’s reliable, accurate, and proven. That’s what matters to us. It has a smooth sweep, hacking seconds, and a solid power reserve. We modified it to run the moon phase accurately, but kept things simple and serviceable.
Bracelet for Daily Wear

The bracelet is made from 316L stainless steel and designed to be worn every day. It has a clean taper and solid feel. You can change it quickly thanks to the quick-release system. The clasp has on-the-fly adjustment, so you can adjust the fit anytime. No tools needed. It’s one of those things you don’t think about, until you have it.
Italian Epsom Leather

If you want something more refined, there’s also the Italian Epsom leather strap. It has a nice texture, feels structured, and holds up well over time. Easy to swap thanks to quick-release spring bars. Finished with a brushed steel buckle to match the watch. Simple and clean.
